This is Questionable

Me
Mood:  not sure
Now Playing: a game...

I am a great many things. I am the mother of 2 very nice children, aged 3 and 4. I am a medical secretary (that's how I buy groceries). I am a student. I am some kind of a writer. Whatever else I am is questionable; whatever I am doing depends on what I am. I am not that complicated of a person. I like to write about the past and how it is the present; I am enamoured with the idea that time is carried away in waves, like water flowing in a river. I want to give my children something to write about whenever they may take a notion to it. I don't watch the news because it is lies so it is questionable whether or not I will ever have anything meaningful to write about.

One of the best classes that I ever had was a course in creative writing. While I bitch and moan about English courses, I am addicted to them and regardless of the pain they cause me I keep subjecting myself to the torture. As a matter of fact I have a Literature curse lined up in January. Anyway, the creative writing class was great. I am not a great lover of poetry but I learned that anyone can write a poem and you can write it anyway you want to. I also learned some strategies to get the creativity flowing, one of them as simple as making out a list of words every day. Not a big commitment, but when you are writing, choose a word at random from the list and work it into whatever you are writing about; sometimes it sheds a new light on whatever it is you're writing. I also learned that writing is part of me; it might not be good, but it's something that I was born to do.

It is questionable whether or not I will ever write one piece that is worthy of publication, but I have hope for it when I see the winner of last month's poetry contest on some website mispelled 3 words in about a 50 word poem. Yes, it may be questionable, but there is hope.
